PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal member capable of providing a longer life by improving durability even when the seal member formed with an elastomer is used.SOLUTION: A seal member 10 includes an annular base part 12 which is formed with an elastomer and is arranged on the outer circumferential side of a rotation shaft 40 and an annular lip part 20 which is extended from an inner circumferential surface of the base part 12 to an outer circumferential surface of the rotation shaft 40 and is brought into sliding contact with the rotation shaft 40. Therein, a circumferential hole 14 extended in the circumferential direction to an inner part of the base part 12 is provided on at least a part of the circumferential direction of the base part 12, the circumferential hole 14 is configured as a lubricant storage part 16 by arranging a lubricant retaining member 34 which retains lubricant and, on the lip part 20 on the circumferential position corresponding to the lubricant storage part 16, first lubricant supply holes 24, 32 for supplying lubricant from the lubricant storage part 16 toward a sliding contact surface 44 with which the lip part 20 comes into sliding contact are formed. |
