PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke device that shortens a musical performance of music without awareness of the shortening.SOLUTION: A karaoke device includes lyrics character video display control means 82 of performing display control over a character image of lyrics of music upon the basis of block data B01, B02, B03, ..., Bnn corresponding to sections obtained by dividing the lyrics of music into a plurality; omission section determination means 88 of determining omission sections for omitting musical performance output of musical performance data corresponding to the music upon the basis of the sections of the block data as units; and musical performance control means 80 of performing musical performance output excluding the omission sections determined by the omission section determination means 88 upon the basis of the musical performance data corresponding to the music, so that the musical performance can be shortened through natural omission upon the basis of the block data for displaying the lyrics character image as units. |
