PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic faucet which can solve a problem the faucet is erroneously operated due to erroneous detection of a detection sensor and which is convenient to use.SOLUTION: An automatic faucet 20 includes: a water discharge pipe 16; a non-contact type detection sensor 54 provided in the water discharge pipe 16; and a control valve for performing water discharge state control on the basis of a detection signal from the detection sensor 54. The detection sensor 54 comprises a state change sensor for changing a current water discharge state by object detection and a state maintenance sensor for maintaining a current water discharge state by object detection. A first detection area 61 which is a detection area of the state change sensor is set on the front side of the water discharge pipe 16, while a second detection area 62 which is a detection area of the state maintenance sensor is set on the back side of the water discharge pipe 16 with respect to the first detection area 61. In the state the state maintenance sensor performs object detection in the second detection area 62, change in water discharge state is not performed even if the state change sensor performs object detection. |
