PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer dispersion resolving conventional problems of emulsion polymerization and improve stability or copolymerizable property by using cationic reactive emulsifier.SOLUTION: A polymer dispersion is manufactured by emulsion polymerization of a polymerizable unsaturated monomer in an aqueous solvent in the presence of a polymerization initiator by using a cationic reactive emulsifier (A) represented by the general formula (1) and the polymerizable unsaturated monomer contains a polyfunctional monomer (B) having two or more polymerizable unsaturated groups in a molecule. (1), where Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group having 6 to 24 carbon atoms or a polyoxyalkylene group having 3 or 4 carbon atoms, A and B each represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms or the polyoxyalkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and X represents a halogen atom, CHOSOor CHCHOSO. |
