PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion analysis device capable of ionizing a component in a fine region of a surface of a sample in an atmospheric pressure environment at high speed and with high efficiency.SOLUTION: An ionization device includes: a laser light irradiation unit irradiating at least a region of a surface of a sample with laser light to desorb a particle from the sample; a liquid holding unit having an end portion and capable of holding a liquid on an outer periphery of the end portion; an ion extraction electrode extracting an ionized ion; and a voltage application means applying a voltage between the liquid and the extraction electrode to desorb the ion from the liquid held on the outer periphery of the end portion. The region and the end portion are disposed so as not to make contact with each other but to be in close proximity to each other so that the liquid held on the outer periphery of the end portion attracts particles desorbed from the sample as a result of irradiation with the laser light, and the particles are ionized using the liquid at the end portion. |
