Provided is a method to economically and stably continuously produce a high-quality polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer exhibiting excellent transparency, impact resistance, and the like. Specifically provided is a method for the continuous production of a polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer, said method having a step (A) in which a bivalent phenol compound, a carbonate precursor, and a polyorganosiloxane are polymerized in the presence of an alkali compound aqueous solution and a water-insoluble organic solvent to obtain a polymerization reaction solution, which is then continuously or intermittently extracted from a reaction vessel. The method for the continuous production of a polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer is characterized by: step (A) comprising steps (a-1) and (a-2); having a dissolution tank for dissolving the bivalent phenol compound into the alkali compound aqueous solution in order to prepare the alkali compound aqueous solution of the bivalent phenol compound used in both steps (a-1) and (a-2); and by mixing, in step (a-2), the alkali compound aqueous solution and the alkali compound aqueous solution of the bivalent phenol compound prepared in the dissolution tank before mixing a polycarbonate oligomer and the bivalent phenol compound. Step (a-1): A step for producing a polycarbonate oligomer by mixing a carbonate precursor with an alkali compound aqueous solution of a bivalent phenol compound prepared in a dissolution tank, and reacting the mixture in the presence of a water-insoluble organic solvent. Step (a-2): A step for continuously or intermittently extracting a polymerization reaction solution from a reaction vessel, said polymerization reaction solution being obtained by mixing the alkali compound aqueous solution of the bivalent phenol compound prepared in the dissolution tank, the polycarbonate oligomer obtained in step (a-1), and the polyorganosiloxane, and polymerizing the mixture in the presence of a water-insoluble organic solvent. |
