PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that suppresses an image persistence phenomenon to provide good display quality, and a driving method of a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes an array substrate having pixel electrodes and a counter electrode, a counter substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a driving unit. The driving unit applies video signals with positive polarity and negative polarity corresponding to gradation of an image displayed by pixels to the pixel electrodes so as to perform polarity inversion driving. The driving unit superimposes on the video signals a correction signal corresponding in advance to a polarity inversion frequency and the gradation. |
