PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of preventing water from remaining in a drain hose and suppressing the generation of mold and odor.SOLUTION: The washing machine includes: an outer tub which is supported in a housing and is for storing water inside; an inner tub which is included in the outer tub and in which clothing is accommodated; a drain hose for guiding water from the bottom of the outer tub to a drain hole outside of the machine; and a drain valve provided in the middle of the drain hose. The drain hose in a downstream side than the drain valve is so arranged that a portion which curves in a front-back or right-left direction is lowered from the upstream side to the downstream side.
