PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual driver with a personalized driving support.SOLUTION: A driving support system includes: an automobile having an output device for outputting vehicle state information; a portable terminal of a user driving the automobile; and a driving support device for providing the portable terminal with driving support content. Further, the driving support device includes: reception means for receiving vehicle state information of the automobile and a user identifier of a user driving the automobile; storage means for storing vehicle state information correlated with a user identifier, driving skill level determination information specifying a driving skill level in accordance with the vehicle state information and driving support information specifying driving support content in accordance with the driving skill level; driving skill level determination means for determining a driving skill level for each user; and driving support content provision means for providing each user with driving support content in accordance with the driving skill level.
