PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle which enables installation of an exit door without restriction of a vehicle shape.SOLUTION: An emergency door 51 is rotatably mounted to a frame body 52 in a direction of separating from a vehicle body 2 and a direction of approaching the vehicle body 2 using the horizontal direction as an axial direction. The emergency door 51 rotates in the direction of separating from the vehicle body 2 (direction A) to open an emergency exit 53, and rotates in the direction of approaching the vehicle body 2 (direction B) to close the emergency exit 53. A pair of gas dampers 74 is respectively connected to both sides in the horizontal direction of the frame body 52 and both sides in the horizontal direction of the emergency door 51. The gas dampers 74 are extended by the rotation of the emergency door 51 in the direction of separating from the vehicle body 2, and are contracted by the rotation of the emergency door 51 in the direction of approaching the vehicle body 2. |
