PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a degradation in the quality of a signal transmitted through a transmission path interconnecting a camera part capable of panning/tilting and an immovable part, under a variation in a characteristic impedance of the transmission path, without directly detecting a variation in the transmission path.SOLUTION: Relationships are determined beforehand between a pan angle/tilt angle and a characteristic impedance of a cable 201. The relationships are used to determine the characteristic impedance of the cable 201 corresponding to the pan angle/tilt angle, and a termination element 305 is selected such that the characteristic impedance of the cable 201 becomes a specified characteristic impedance. |
