The present invention is equipped with a magnet state output means (7) that estimates the magnetic flux of a permanent magnet forming a magnetic field in a synchronous machine (1). The magnet state output means is equipped with: a magnet state estimation device (8), which calculates a magnet state correction value (&Dgr;&phis;m1) in a magnet state correction value calculation mode, and calculates a magnetic flux estimation value (&phis;m1') for the permanent magnet under the given conditions of a magnetic flux command (&phis;1) and a δ-axis current command (i1) in a magnet state estimation mode; and a magnet state correction means (9), which uses the magnet state correction value (&Dgr;&phis;m1) to correct the magnetic flux estimation value (&phis;m1') for the permanent magnet obtained by the magnet state estimation device (8). |
