The chuck (1) has a base body (10) extending in rotational axis (2). A central axial hole (11) is formed in the base body and axially and torsionally anchored with a flexible tensioning device (20) i.e. cylindrical shank retainer, for receiving a shaft tool (W). An armature (30) is axially and rotatably supported at a side of the base body along axial direction by screw connection. The armature is axially extended into the central axial hole. The tensioning device is rotatably and axially anchored to the armature. The armature is positively engaged with a transverse groove.
