The invention relates to collective games, and more particularly to a method for forming a database of participants of mass events, games and collective projects. The aim of the invention is to create a user identification code, used to identify a user during registration, which makes it possible to confirm, prior to adding the user to a database, that said user actually exists. The method involves: registering an identification code which consists of a plurality of fields, one of which relates to a mobile telephone number, and verifying the participant by means of a voice or text message sent to the telephone number in question. The identification code is in the form of a line of symbols which consists of a plurality of parts and is related to the participant's activities, one of said parts containing a telephone number.
