PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element that allows being manufactured by a simple manufacturing process and has high conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element includes a semiconductor substrate 1 of a first conductivity type and a first semiconductor film 6 of the first conductivity type provided on one surface of the semiconductor substrate 1. On a surface of the semiconductor substrate 1, a groove 9 extending on the surface is provided, and a second semiconductor film 11 of a second conductivity type is provided on the bottom surface of the groove 9. At least a part of side walls 9b of the groove 9 is covered with an insulating film 15. |
