METHOD FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION OF BASE STATION IN RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for allowing a base station in a radio communication system to reduce power consumption.SOLUTION: A method for reducing power consumption includes the steps of: transmitting a cell temporary activation request for requesting execution of a first activation operation for carrying out a transmission/reception operation on at least one signal which is previously set to a low-order base station which is positioned in cell coverage of a high-order base station and operates at an energy saving mode; receiving a radio resource control measurement report from a user terminal machine (UE) positioned in the cell coverage of the high-order base station; determining at least one low-order base station being an activation object among low-order base stations which perform the first activation operation on the basis of the radio resource control measurement report; and transmitting a cell activation request for indicating execution of a second activation operation for carrying out the transmission/reception operation on all signals to at least one low-order base station being the activation object.
