The method involves recognizing a supplementary request according to electrical power of predetermined electrical consumer groups (27a-e, 29a-e) in an electrical network. Resulting current value in line sections (26a-e, 28a-e) of the predetermined electrical consumer group is determined. Predetermined threshold of current value for the line section is evaluated. Power consumption of the predesignated electrical consumer group is reduced if resulting current value is greater than the predetermined threshold of the current value of the line section.
