The pneumatic brake booster (100) has a booster housing (1) whose inner space is divided by an axially movable wall (2) into a working chamber (3) and a vacuum chamber (4). The axially movable wall is impinged with a pneumatic differential pressure. A control valve (12) is provided for connecting the working chamber with the vacuum chamber or the atmosphere. The control valve is arranged in a control housing (5) and controls the differential pressure. The movable wall comprises a diaphragm plate and a diaphragm. The working chamber is sealed by a sealing ring (13). The system of control housing is provided, where the sealing ring is provided as tribological system with a unit which modifies an effect of a pneumatic differential pressure on the tribological system as a result of a relative displacement between control housing and sealing ring.
