The invention relates to a lighting device comprising: at least one glass sheet (2, 2A, 2B) having two opposing main faces (20, 21) and a slab (22), light-emitting diodes (3) providing the lighting function, and diffusion means (4) that extract the light on one of the first or second main faces (21). The aforementioned diffusion means define one or more lighting zones and said diffusion means do not form a solid surface covering all of the first glass sheet. The device is characterised in that the diffusion means take the form of an enamel having a brightness greater than 15 and preferably greater than or equal to 20 or 30.
