1,069,278. Soldering. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION. July 16, 1965 [July 16, 1964], No. 30316/65. Heading B3R. [Also in Division B8] A conveyer for moving printed circuit-boards 1 across surfaceprocessing apparatus comprises two lines of grooved rollers, each line being mounted on a longitudinally extending stringer (3), Figs. 2, 3 (not shown). The rollers (21) on one stringer are driven by a chain (25) and rollers (26) on the other stringer are pivotally supported on arms (29) which are engaged by springs (32). These rollers are thus resiliently urged towards the other line of rollers. The grooves in the rollers guide and support the boards 1. The surface-processing apparatus includes a bath of scouring liquid 6, a hot air drying ventilator 7, a wave-soldering apparatus 8 and a cooling ventilator 9. Operation of the ventilators and the soldering apparatus is controlled by switches actuated when a board engages certain of the rollers. |
