The present invention relates to a system and a method of controlling power saving in an LED electronic display board. The system of controlling the power saving in the LED electronic display board according to the present invention includes a display unit having a plurality of pixels formed by red, green, blue, and white LEDs; an LED driving unit including a red LED driving module for driving the red LED, a green LED driving module for driving the green LED, a blue LED driving module for driving the blue LED, and a white LED driving module for driving the white LED; and a data converting unit for outputting white data to the white LED driving module if the white data are generated by using red, green, and blue data, and for outputting red, green, and blue data to the red, green, and blue LED driving modules, respectively, if the white data are not generated, thereby saving power consumption.
