<p>A flood defence kit having at least one flexible waterproof membrane, the membrane having a substantially flat base 10, at least two integrally formed edges 12, wherein the edges extend orthogonally to the base and have a waterproof tape 14 for fixing the membrane on at least one edge to at least one side of a building opening (16, fig 2). The waterproof tape may be pre-adhered to the edge, may have a removable strip, and may be a waterproof adhesive tape such as neoprene nitrile PVC or acrylic foam tape. The membrane may be a flexible PVC material, and may comprise at least two membranes (fig 3). A method for using the flood defence kit is independently claimed. The method includes affixing membrane edges flush with a building opening.</p> |
