PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of reducing an amount of image data while suppressing a drop of the picture quality in an image processor equipped with a keystone correcting section. SOLUTION: In the image processor for processing image data for projecting and displaying the inputted image, when the keystone correcting section keystone-corrects, at least one of data compressing and decoding sections compresses the image data, and stores the compressed image data in a corresponding frame memory, and when the keystone correcting section does not keystone-correct, the data compressing and decoding section store the image data in the corresponding frame memory without compressing the image data.
