<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The tank has a membrane (3) made of plastic material or polymer material and supported in an inner recess (4) of an exterior wall (1) of the tank as a counter bearing by a lock washer (2) that comprises a roughened surface, where a cross-section of the washer is formed in a C-shape. The membrane in a holding portion includes a wrap angle of about 180 degree with the washer. A spring rate and the diameter of the washer are measured according to lasting deformation of the polymer material of the membrane. The washer is made of fuel or oxidizer compatible metal and provided with a coating. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Fuel tank for use as a membrane tank in a spacecraft i.e. airplane, for storing liquids i.e. liquid fuels. Can also be used for a submarine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The membrane is made of the plastic material or the polymer material and supported in the inner recess of the exterior wall of the tank as the counter bearing by the lock washer, thus avoiding problems due to aggressiveness of the liquid stored in the tank while avoiding mechanical problems caused by creeping of the membrane. The lock washer comprises the roughened surface, thus preventing slipping out of the membrane due to mechanical load.
