In a wall safe the door 8 is mounted on a hinge 11 disposed internally of the safe body behind a front wall portion 9 thereof. The back of the safe is provided with rotatably adjustable eccentrics 24 which together with rectangular side projections 26 serve as keying or positioning lugs. The hinge consists of a channel member 11 opposed ends of which are bored at 13 to receive hinge pins in the form of screws which are screwed into reinforcing blocks riveted to the inner surfaces of the top and bottom walls of the safe, see Fig. 2 (not shown). |
