PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magenta toner for forming a full color image for accurately reproducing document data by spreading the color reproduction region of RGB and performing superior color reproduction. SOLUTION: The magenta toner contains at least binder resin and colorant. The colorant is salt formation compound composed of rhodamine-based dye and sulfonated matter of naphthalene group, and/or sulfonated matter of naphthol group.
