PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for generating braking for a vehicle that reliably generates a braking torque which is required for the vehicle, while achieving a power supply to an electric motor and an electric brake with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The system includes: the electric motor which is arranged on an unsprung vehicle body, and generates a drive torque for driving wheels using the power supply as well as a regenerative electric power using a rotation of the wheels; the electric brake which is arranged on the unsprung vehicle body, and generates the braking torque for braking the wheels using the power supply; a first power line in which a current flows, the current being transferred between the battery arranged on a sprung vehicle body and the electric motor; a second power line in which a current flows, the current being supplied from the electric motor to the electric brake; and a braking torque controller for generating a required braking torque with a regenerative braking torque associated with a regeneration of the electric motor and an electric braking torque which the electric brake generates using a supply via all of the regenerative electric power generated by the electric motor or part of the second power line, when a braking of the vehicle is required.
