In the upper end of a tubular metal lamp post 1, the stem 2 of a light-supporting bracket is tiltably supported on a plastics seat 7 by screws 4 (only one shown) whose heads seat in apertures in the post 1, and by tilt-adjusting screws 3 (only one shown) whose enlarged heads abut the inner surface of the post. The screws 3, 4 are threaded into reinforcing rings 5, 6. As shown the stem 2 is cylindrical and the post 1 is tapered. Alternatively the stem 2 may be tapered.</p> |
