The channel body (1) has a mouth section (17) comprising wall sections (34,35) with surface sections (12,14). The latter surface section lies against the former surface section so that the surface sections form an opening area. The opening area opens in the inner space during normal installation of the ventilation device (16) in the vehicle. A spacer is coupled with an end section at one of the wall section and with another end section at the other wall section. The spacer has a central section situated between the two end sections.
