PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit an ultrasonic beam in which a sidelobe is suppressed by input of a wideband wave transmission signal having aπphase difference in a pitch direction to an ultrasonic wave transmitter in which a plurality of vibrators are arranged in a regular triangle lattice. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic wave transmission device includes the ultrasonic wave transmitter 1 including nine kinds of vibrators 100a to 100j arranged at each intersection of the regular triangle lattice and having a line pitch d in each of the surrounding six directions, and a transmission drive signal generation circuit 31 for output of transmission signals having a phase difference ofπradian with each other to group vibrators 110a, 110c that are the vibrator groups of respective columns and are prescribed two columns from among continuous three columns. The transmission drive signal generation circuit 31 divides each transmission signal input to the group vibrators 110a, 110c into a plurality of pieces in a temporal direction to perform phase change in each division.
