<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator and a method of controlling the same capable of securing sufficient security under a condition wherein only one elevator is installed by dividing stories into a plurality of zones, operating the elevator per each zone to move the only admitted passenger to a story within a zone, and changing an operation objective zone in the only case wherein there is no passenger in a car. <P>SOLUTION: This elevator includes: a car 1 wherein passengers can get on/off; a detecting means 3 provided in the car 1 to acquire existence of passengers existing in the car 1; and a decision selecting means 4b for confirming that there is no passenger in the car 1 based on the information from the detecting means 3 and for selecting an operation objective zone of the car 1 in the case wherein there is no passenger in the car 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
