The present invention relates to Photorhabdus temperata subsp. temperata strain ECOWIN_104 (Accession No: KACC 91741P) having an insecticidal effect against mosquito larvae, a composition comprising the strain for controlling mosquito larvae, a method for biologically controlling mosquito larvae using the strain, a medium for culturing the Photorhabdus temperata strain, and a culturing method using the medium. The use of the Photorhabdus temperata subsp. temperata strain ECOWIN_104 (Accession No: KACC 91741P) according to the present invention can effectively control the mosquito larvae while replacing the existing chemical insecticides and BTI import agents.
