The present invention relates to a method for automatically updating road information of a navigation, and comprises: a step of photographing a front area of a vehicle; a step of collecting path information of a road wherein the vehicle is located by analyzing the photographed image; a step of comparing the path information of the road wherein the vehicle is located and road information registered in the navigation to see if they match; and a step of updating the road information registered in the navigation on the basis of the road information wherein the vehicle is located, if the comparison result does not match.
