The present invention relates to a scallop structure of a block butt of a longitudinal member for a vessel which changes a scallop shape to make it possible to continuously weld a portion of the longitudinal member, by grinding only a start point and an end point after a welding work to secure welding robustness, eliminating an attachment, a removal and a grinding work of a tap piece as in the past, and performing only an edge processing work after the welding work. The purpose of the present invention is to install the scallop with a shape of a dumbbell traversely divided in half to reduce degradation caused by concentration of welding heat at a portion where a web of longitudinal crosses a deck at a right angle, and to retain and form an end of the web of the longitudinal corresponding to a concave part at the middle part of the dumbbell shaped scallop.
