<p>The present invention relates to a yarn feeder which comprises a body, a yarn feeding wheel, a floating member, and at least one sensor. The yarn feeder comprises: the yarn feeding wheel combined with the body to be rotated; the floating member installed at the yarn feeding wheel as in a floated state by an electromagnetic levitation, and moving between a first position and a second position; a guide unit formed between the floating member and the yarn feeding wheel; and the sensor corresponding to the floating member, therefore, judging if yarn of the yarn feeding wheel is enough and enabling the yarn feeding wheel to maintain a proper amount of yarn. The present invention reduces manufacturing costs, does not easily broken, does not cause a malfunction, and precisely achieves the purpose of sensing yarn. In addition, a method for feeding yarn is provided in the present invention.</p> |
