The present invention relates to an organic dye or an organic pigment used in the manufacture of a color filter of a liquid crystal display (LCD). The organic dye or the organic pigment for a color filter of the present invention has a structure of chemical formula 1, in which benzene rings of same aromatic organic pigments (Ar) are crosslinked by -(SO_2)-NH-(CH_2)_n-NH-(SO_2)-, thereby not causing disturbance in conjugated double bonds of pigments and minimizing variation in colors as compared with an uncrosslinked organic pigment. Also, the organic dye or the organic pigment for a color filter has a large particle size of more than two molecular weights compared with a known pigment, thereby preventing the dye or the pigment from being sublimated through a gap between network structures of monomers when the color filter is manufactured. In addition, the organic dye or the organic pigment for a color filter shows excellent physical properties required for a color filter, such as heat resistance, chemical resistance, and the likes as well as shows superior color intensity compared with a known pigment. |
