The present invention relates to a video file recording device, a video file alteration detection system, and a method thereof. A video file alteration detection device of the present invention comprises: a camera unit for outputting audio and video data; a file producing unit for producing a video file; a file storing unit for storing data based on video file production information in the file producing unit; a hash computing unit for computing hash values; and a control unit for controlling a hash value computed by the hash computing unit to be stored in the file storing unit and for providing video and audio data provided from the camera unit to the hash computing unit in a certain unit. Therefore, the system is suitable for a real time video file recording device such as a black box.
