The present invention relates to a method to provide safe driving information according to a traffic condition and a navigation apparatus for the same and, more specifically, to a method to provide safe driving information according to the traffic condition and the navigation apparatus thereof, which provides only appropriate information to a driver, according to the speed of the driver′s current vehicle and the traffic condition, by receiving traffic information about a route and current position of the driver through an information communication network. By the present invention, unnecessary information provision to a driver traveling on a road is reduced, and only appropriate safe driving information is provided according to the speed of the driver′s current vehicle and traffic conditions. Thus, efficient and pleasant driving is achieved.
