PURPOSE: A device and a method for manufacturing molten metal using the exhaust gas of an iron making process are provided to covert the carbon monoxide of the exhaust gas generated in an iron making process into hydrogen and then blow in an iron maker, thereby increasing the rate of the use of gas. CONSTITUTION: A device for manufacturing molten metal using the exhaust gas of an iron making process includes an ion maker (10), a combustor (20), a generator (30), and a hydrogen gas manufacturing machine. The combustor is supplied with and combusts the part of the exhaust gas generated in the ion maker, and generates heat. The generator generates electricity by steam by using the heat generated from the combustor. The hydrogen gas manufacturing machine is supplied with the steam used in the generation, converts the carbon monoxide used in the exhaust gas into hydrogen gas, and blows the converted hydrogen gas in the iron maker again.
