The present invention relates to a system and method for supporting song contest which collects the scores of singings from mobile communication terminals or karaoke machines and shows the ranking. For this, the present invention collects information about song contests including evaluation scores transmitted by the song contest modules in order to establish database for the song contest. The service server of the song contest provides the song contest modules by searching information on the song contest from the database if the user going by way of the song contest modules requests for checking the ranking, and the terminal connected to enable communications with the service server through operating the song contest module are included. The method for supporting song contest composes: checking the music selections of the user and the setting status of the recording; extracting sound source files according to the user setting and plays in real-time; recording audio signals inputted through the mike and forming the music files; establishing song contest information including the evaluation scores; and transmitting the information to the service server with the song files through the use of the information network system. Hence, the user with the signing ability and the entertainment management company or the sound record producer are able to use the present invention as a mean of conducting online auditions which provides an effective place generating mutual benefits to both sides.
