The method involves initializing (I) data located in a predefined location stored at an address structure in a memory e.g. electrically EPROM. A sub-program (SP) with passage of an address (A) in parameter is called (E2) from a main program (P). A data structure stored at the address parameter received by the sub-program is treated (T) by the sub-program. A data value located in the location stored at the address structure passed as the parameter is verified (C) by comparing the located data with the passed address. A countermeasure is applied in event of a negative result during verification. An independent claim is also included for an electronic entity.
