The machine has a vibrator (1), and a sole that is allowed to vibrate in a horizontal manner. The sole is allowed to move on a layer of aggregates, and a densifier is utilized for rearranging the layer of aggregates and densify the layer of aggregates. The vibrator is arranged for providing a primarily horizontal vibration for optimizing the layer of aggregates before tightening of the aggregates by performing a traditional compaction process by a static head or roller without vibration.
