PURPOSE: A supported catalyst for synthesizing a carbon nano-tube and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to synthesize plenty of carbon nano-tubes of high purity. CONSTITUTION: A supported catalyst for synthesizing a carbon nano-tube includes an alumina, magnesium oxide, or silica support and a metallic catalyst supported in the support. The metallic catalyst is one or more selected from Co, Ni, and Fe. The supported catalyst is a hollow supported catalyst. Pores are formed on the surface of the supported catalyst. The metallic catalyst is supported on both sides of the supported catalyst. The supported catalyst includes a molybdenum activator. |
