The ladder has a rectangular frame formed by two uprights (1), which are formed in parallel and connected by cross-pieces. A pivot axis (2) is provided at ends of the uprights. Steps (4) are hinged by pivots (6) on inner sides of the uprights. The steps automatically pivot by convertible gravity in a footbridge for a boat. Relative rotation of the frame and the uprights is actuated by traction of a cord (12) based on a vertical column (10) of the uprights and rotation of pulleys (13) placed on the column fixed on a support screwed on the boat.
