Polyglycerin partial ester of polyricinoleic acid and more functional carboxylic acid, obtained by esterifying a polyglycerin mixture with at least one polyricinoleic acid (A-B), polyhydroxy stearic acid, at least one di- and/or tricarboxylic acid and at least one fatty acid, is new. Polyglycerin partial ester of polyricinoleic acid and more functional carboxylic acid, obtained by esterifying a polyglycerin mixture with at least one polyricinoleic acid of formula (A-B), polyhydroxy stearic acid, at least one di- and/or tricarboxylic acid and optionally at least one fatty acid, is new. A : CH3-(CH2)5-CH(OH)-CH2-CH=CH-(CH2)7-COOH or optionally hydroxy stearic acid CH3-(CH2)5-CH(OH)-(CH2)10-COOH; and n : 1-10. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the preparation of the polyglycerin partial ester; (2) a cosmetic, dermatological or pharmaceutical preparation comprising the polyglycerin partial ester and optionally conventional auxiliary materials and additives; and (3) a caring agent and cleaning agent for household and industrial application comprising the polyglycerin partial ester and optionally conventional auxiliary materials and additives.
