The method involves providing a hoop (12) and a push-button (13) made out of thermoplastic material with reliefs (18, 19, 32), so as to assemble the hoop and the push-button temporarily with each other in a pre-defined intermediate state. An operation of decoration is carried out after assembly of the hoop and the push-button in the intermediate state. The hoop and the push-button are assembled in a final state in which a border of the decoration defined on the push-button during the operation of decoration is masked by the hoop. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an assembly of a hoop and a push-button (2) a cosmetic product packaging device.
