A propeller fan (1) comprising a hub (3) having a cylindrical wall (3a), and a plurality of blades (5) extending radially from the outer circumferential face (3d) of the cylindrical wall of the hub, wherein a secondary flow control slit (7) is provided between adjacent pairs of blades on the outer circumferential face, each of the plurality of secondary flow control slits extends through the cylindrical wall and connects the interior of the hub to the exterior of the hub, the downstream end in the cylindrical wall is closed, the upstream end of the cylindrical wall is opened, and from a side view, each of the plurality of secondary flow control slits extends at an angle with respect to the axis of rotation for the propeller fan and extends at an angle in the same direction as the direction in which the blade bases for the plurality of blades are formed. |
