The conveying device (1) has a conveyor belt (2) and a vacuum chamber (5) for pressing a conveyed material on the conveyor belt, where the conveyor belt runs in a conveying direction (10). A current profile (6) is connected with the conveyor belt and has a low-pressure side (7), at which a conveying movement of the conveyor belt is formed by inflow of a low-pressure area (8). The low-pressure area is connected with one of the vacuum chambers over an opening (9) such that a low-pressure is generated for pressing the conveyed material on the conveyor belt during inflow of the current profile.
