PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thixotropic water-hardening bonding material which has thixotropy and has good adhesion to a contact inner wall surface during standstill while having low adhesion to the contact inner wall surface during flowing in order to solve the problems such as sags occur when using a water-hardening material including celluloses, pump pressure feeding property and rebound.SOLUTION: There is provided a thixotropic water-hardening bonding material which is composed of cement and 0.01 to 3.0 mass% of an alginate based on the cement or any one of an alginate and an alginate ester. The thixotropic water-hardening bonding material preferably contains 0.001 to 0.05 mass% of a foaming agent based on cement.
