PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the battery capacity by up-sizing an electrode plate, while ensuring heat welding a partition wall with a lid.SOLUTION: A portion of a partition wall 21 held by a pair of non-connection straps is a first step 4 having a first inclined side formed above the upper end of the sidewall 2a of a battery case 2, and a potion of a partition wall 21 held by a pair of connection straps is a second step 5 having a second inclined side formed above the upper end of the first step 4 continuously thereto. A partition wall through hole for connecting the pair of connection straps to the second step 5 is formed, and the inclination angle &thetas;of the first inclined side of the first step 4 is smaller than the inclination angle &thetas;of the second inclined side of the second step 5. |
